The Best Cruelty Free Lip Balms | Cruelty Free Skin Care
I use lip balms all day everyday. My lips get super dry, especially when it’s cold and windy out. But which ones are cruelty free and which ones are actually any good? Here are some of my favourite, go-to lip balms.
Nature’s Ingredients Lip Balms at M&S – £2.50
These lip balms are great all-rounders. There are quite a few flavours to pick from including shea butter and aloe vera. There is also a strawberry which smells great and gives your lips a pink tint! The shea butter is my favourite, it’s so moisturising and smells like chocolate.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Flipbalm – £4.99
I love this lipbalm, it comes in three flavours: ripe mango, juicy watermelon, and creamy coconut. I have the mango and watermelon which are both lovely, but I’m not a fan of coconut fragrances so I haven’t tried that one. The mango one is probably my favourite, it smells lovely and it’s made from pure cocoa butter and vitamin E, it’s so moisturising and the little pot it comes in is easy to find in a messy handbag.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lip Balm – £1.89
I’ve also included Palmer’s original lip balm because it’s a good, solid choice. It’s cheap, cruelty free, and not tested on animals so it’s a win-win all round. My one hiccup with this product is the shape of the tube, I think it would be easier to apply if it was a round tube.
Superdrug Blue Lip Balm Stick – £0.99
The little moisturising blue stick is enriched with sweet almond oil and it smells a little bit like vanilla. It’s really moisturising and leaves your lips super soft, and best of all it is only 99p!
PapayaGold Paw Paw Moisturising Balm – £5.99
This balm is not only for chapped lips but also other areas of dry skin, like elbows or irritated skin. It’s very smoothing, it’s quite thick but has great moisturising qualities. Quite pricey but it’s 25g and lasts a long while as a little goes a long way.
Note. This product contains honey!
Anatomicals Stop Cracking Up and Never Lose Your Cherry Lip Balm Duo – £5.00
I tried these lip balms from Asos not really having much idea of what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprise with this duo. The cherry one is my favourite, it smells really nice and fruity and both lip balms put a kind of layer over the lips almost like a gloss.
Crazy Rumors All Natural and Vegan Lip Balms – £3.50
These lip balms are amazing. There are so many flavours, I’ve tried the Bubblegum and Raspberry Sherbet, both of which smell great and so tasty! They are made of 100% natural ingredients, such as macadamia seed oil, olive oil, shea butter and jojoba oil.
Lush Rose Lollipop Lip Balm – £6.75
This lip balm is seriously pricey for a tiny pot but rose is my absolute favourite scent and flavour. This balm smells so good and it’s made from Turkish rose oil and orange peel waxes. It makes my lips feel so soft but unfortunately I generally eat it within five minutes of putting it on.
