Wild Rose Nourishing Hand Balm
This hand balm smells beautifully fresh, floral, and with a slight hint of fruity citrus. It also contains moisturising shea butter, apricot oil, and jojoba oil.
The balm also contains anti-oxidants, such as rose hip and green tea, which supports the skin to regenerate new cells. This helps skin in poor condition recover and heal faster, as well as naturally working as an anti-ageing balm.
The ingredients
Helianthus annus seed oil*, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil*, rosa canina fruit oil*, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil*, glycerine***, camellia sinesis leaf extract*, tocopherol, zea mays seed flour*, rosa centifloia (rose) flower oil*, pelargonium graveolens (rose geranium) flower oil*, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil*, cymbopogon martinii flower oil*, cananga odorata flower oil* , geraniol**, citronellol**, linalool**, limonene**, citral**, farnesol**, benzyl benzoate**, benzyl salicylate**. Application
A little bit goes a long way with this hand balm, as it’s intensely conditioning. When I first applied it, it disappeared almost immediately! I think this is because my hands are extremely dry, being a pianist and guitar player, I don’t always notice the toll this takes on my skin.
Once I applied it, I could feel a very slight protective layer over my skin, which is good because it feels as though it has a lasting effect.
Packaging
The packaging is fairly simple, a dark glass jar with a plastic lid with the Botanicals logo on the top. This is handy if you store your beauty/skincare products in a drawer and like to see what the products are from the top.
On the label, there is a symbol which instructs you can recycle the packaging, which is nice.
The colour of the label is a really pretty shade of mint, which matches the other Wild Rose products made by Botanicals, which includes hand polish, wash, and lotion.
Summary
Botanicals Wild Rose Hand Balm is handmade in England, 100% natural, and 89% organic. For 30g, the balm is £15. The balm is intended to be used sparingly so I’m hoping it will last for a fair while. Also, it contains a lot of natural, luxurious ingredients and it is a very high quality product.
I think this is a nice edition to a hand care routine, the Botanicals website states to use whenever your hands feel a little dry or in need of nourishment.
Overall, although a little pricy, this balm is intensely conditioning and a little goes a long way. It smells lovely and the longevity of the balm is good.
