Cruelty Free Aftershave Guide 2020
Despite cruelty free living making its way into the mainstream, big companies are still lagging behind. Luckily you can get your paws on some great vegan and cruelty free fragrances without hurting any animals. Check out my list of five brands you can buy from with confidence.
Eden Perfumes
Eden Perfumes is an in-store and online shop that sells beautiful scents from their base in Brighton, however they also have a shop in Portobello Road in West London. They offer a range of fragrances for men and women, as well as unisex ones too, such as No.470 “Tobacco Vanilla & Spices”. If you have a scent you already like and want to switch it out for a cruelty free version, Eden matches your favourite! It will probably be cheaper too with 30ml bottles starting at £18.00. Eden Perfumes also use entirely recyclable packaging. One more thing, all of their products are vegan!

Fairypants
Fairypants is another UK based company that sells vegan fragrances, as well as a host of other skincare and cosmetic products. Fairypants is a great for all genders because the scents reflect natural ingredients that anyone can enjoy such as their Botanicals range which includes scents such as “Coconut & Lemongrass”. They also have a Sweet Treats range that includes scents such as “Milk Bottles”, a Cocktails range that includes “Moscow Mule” and a Cakes range that includes “Apple Crumble”. Prices start at £15.99 or £5.99 for roll on versions. You can find stockists of Fairypants on their website or order straight from their online store.

Jack Black
Jack Black currently offer two aftershaves on their website, Blue Mark and JB. Blue Mark features top notes of watermint, cilantro, and bergamot, whilst JB offers tangerine, black pepper, and peppermint. Each will set you back £60 for 101ml which puts it about on par with brands you can find in places like Boots and Superdrug. They are both vegan friendly too.

Lush
Lush offer a range of vegan fragrances that are available at different price points. They really have a lot of original scents so you’re sure to find one you like it. I really like the “Turmeric Latte” scent (£35/30ml) which smells of tonka and vanilla. Lush also sell solid perfumes which are priced at £10/6g, many of which are based of the same scents as their other soaps, such as “Dirty”, “Karma”, and my personal favourite “Rose Jam”! Lush products are available to buy online, but they also have a number of stores across the UK.

The Body Shop
Now The Body Shop is actually cruelty free again, I’m happy to say that they have a great range of scents on offer. The full ingredients list is available to view on the product listings too so you can avoid any nasty surprises. One scent I particularly like is the “Arber” eau de toilette (£16/100ml) which smells of citrus and sandalwood.
