Lavera Basis Sensitiv All-Round Cream Review
Lavera
Lavera is a brand I discovered recently when I was researching brands to publish The Complete Guide to Cruelty Free Beauty. Lavera has been producing a huge range of cruelty free beauty, skincare and haircare for over 25 years. Their products avoid using:
- Petroleum based ingredients
- No synthetic preservatives
- No synthetic emulsifiers
- No synthetic fragrances
- No synthetic colours
Lavera are also cruelty free and against animal testing!
The Basis Sensitiv All-Round Cream is formulated with ingredients including Shea butter, almond oil, jojoba seed oil, rose water, and witch hazel. It is Vegan Society approved!
The All-Round cream is an intensely moisturising cream, when you first pick the product up it actually feels quite heavy which gives you an idea of how dense the cream is! When you apply the product on to your skin it feels quite light and it leaves your skin feeling so soft.
The smell really reminds me of Lemony Flutter from Lush but not quite as intense and a little sweeter.
You can use this cream on your face and body, but I think for me it would be too intense as I have oily/combination skin. This cream does dry patches like your knees, heels and elbows a treat, the buttery, rich formula just melts into the skin. It’s also suitable for sensitive skin (yay!)
Overall, the Lavera All-Round Cream is intensely moisturising, and the rich, buttery texture is gorgeous! It’s a really great cream for anyone who suffers with dry skin, or prone to the occasional dry patch. You can pick up a 150ml pot for £6.95 which is good value. It’s a fair amount and it’s packed with natural, organic ingredients. The cream also goes a long way, the tiniest amount is enough to hydrate dry skin.
I will definitely be picking up another one when I have used this one up, but I think that will take a fair while!
