Like A Light Skin Tint | Florence by Mills Review
Florence by Mills is a new brand from Millie Bobby Brown [Stranger Things]. The brand focuses on creating “clean” products, that contain no parabens, sulphates, or dyes, and adding vitamins, antioxidants, and botanicals. The company is also cruelty free and vegan friendly.
When I purchased Like A Light Skin Tint, I didn’t realise the brand was from Millie Bobby Brown so I bought it based off of the information on the Beauty Bay product listing:
“Combining the glow of makeup with the nourishment of skincare, the Like A Light Skin Tint features a buildable formula so you can choose your coverage. Working to keep the skin hydrated and bright with a dewy radiance, the non-greasy skin tint features a blend of antioxidant meadowfoam seed oil and squalene to hydrate, and jojoba oil to soothe and shield stressed skin.”
I had previously been using the e.l.f Flawless Finish Foundation (in the shade Pearl – fair with neutral undertones), however I was looking for something a bit lighter than a foundation as I try to keep my makeup very minimal. I use less than a pea-sized amount of product, just to even my skin tone a little bit rather than concealing everything. Like A Light Skin Tint is, aptly named, a moisturising skin tint.
I have been using the skin tint for about two weeks now, and I generally like the product. It’s very lightweight, you cannot feel it on your skin, and it provides the amount of coverage I’m looking for. It’s recommended to use one to two pumps but one pump provides a lot of product so I use about half a pump.

Bonus review!
I also picked up the Get Glossed lip gloss in the shade Mellow Mills – Light Pink.
“A comfy formula that delivers glossy goodness in sheer shades that make us smile. Shea butter cushions our lips while vitamin E nourishes. Super softening castor seed oil says no thanks to chapped lips. Let’s get glossed without the sticky factor!”
I don’t really wear lip gloss very often because I find it sticky and uncomfortable, however this one is not too sticky and feels very lightweight like the skin tint. The shade I picked, Mellow Mills, is a light light, and although it looks very pigmented in the tube, it’s really very sheer. I wouldn’t recommend this product if you enjoy a bold lip colour, but it’s great if you’re looking for a slight hint of colour whilst keeping your lips moisturised.
Pros | Cons |
Lightweight and moisturising | Looks more pigmented than it is |
Free from dyes, parabens and sulphates | Limited shade range (5) |
Cruelty free and vegan | Expensive (£12/4ml) |
Florence by Mills also donate to the Olivia Hope Foundation, which is something I think more companies should do. However, I would like to find out how much percentage of each product does go towards the charity.
I think Florence by Mills is well worth looking into if you enjoy natural/bare skin makeup looks as they offer a range of products that aim to enhance your natural skin rather than covering it all up. Additionally, It’s really cool that they keep their ingredients clean and use lots of natural ingredients and botanicals as well.
