Schmidt’s Naturals Rose & Vanilla Natural Deodorant Review
When you go to the supermarket or drug store, the shelves seemed to be lined with deodorants full of unnatural ingredients and almost all the brands are tested on animals like Sanex, Nivea, Sure, Rightguard, Dove, Mitchum – just to name a few.
That is why I am always pleased to see a cruelty free deodorant on sale, and I happened to find this one in Urban Outfitters for £8. It’s a little pricey for a deodorant but as I’ve mentioned, there just isn’t a lot of CF deodorants out there currently – or at least ones you can find freely.
Rose is my very favourite scent of anything ever. It’s even my favourite food flavour – if it has rose water in it, I’m there. Turkish delight and dark chocolate rose creams, yes please! I’m also a big fan of vanilla, as the scent in this deodorant is so powdery sweet and gentle.
My stick looked a little funny but it didn’t effect the product at all, I think it was just me carrying it home in my bag. One thing to say about the texture is that because it is natural formula, it’s initially quite hard and won’t swipe onto the skin so you have to hold it on a warm area of your skin for a few seconds for it to be able to glide on.
I’ve been using this deodorant for a week now and here are some of my favourite things about it:
- It smells so good and my underarms feel clean and dry all day after applying.
- A little bit goes a long way, a small swipe on the skin is enough to last the day.
- It free from aluminium, propylene glycol, and artificial fragrances.
- It contains natural ingredients such as coconut oil, shea butter, and jojoba which keeps your skin moisturised as I find some deodorants can be really drying – especially if they contain alcohol.
- Lastly, it’s cruelty free and vegan friendly! ♥
